Suspension Upgrader
Build your suspension package in a minute. Choose your car, how you drive it and your coilovers, and add anti roll bars and drop links to the same job. Every choice is one we would make in the workshop, backed by what we fit and run ourselves.
1. YOUR CAR
2. HOW YOU USE IT
3. YOUR COILOVERS
What the fitting involves
- Strip down, with a full vehicle inspectionThe old dampers and springs come off, with every camber arm and suspension bolt loosened ready for the rebuild. While the car is up and apart we inspect the whole vehicle, bushes, ball joints, brake lines and the usual rust spots, and tell you straight what we find.
- PreparationThe new coilovers are prepped before they go anywhere near the car. Every fitting and adjuster is cleaned and greased so height and damping adjustment stay free for years, not seized after one winter.
- Torqued at ride heightSuspension bolts are tightened with the car sitting at its final height, never hanging at full droop, so the bushings carry no twist. It is the manufacturer’s own procedure and the step most fits skip.
- Ride height and preloadSpring preload and ride height are set to the manufacturer’s figures first, then adjusted to your preference and how you use the car.
- Four wheel alignmentA full geometry set up finishes the job, set to your use of the car: daily, fast road or track.
All of the above, done on an ND RF: the Supermiata Tecna fit, written up step by step.
Optional extras
Every fitted package includes the four wheel alignment. Fitting coilovers changes the ride height and geometry, and the alignment afterwards is how the kit ends up driving as intended, so it is part of the job, not an extra. Height and geometry are set to your preference and how you use the car.
