FOJI Raceworks · Cornwall
Who We Are
A Cornwall workshop for MX-5s, Japanese performance cars and classic BMWs.
Our story
It Started With One MX-5
01
The beginning
The name marks the point the hobby got serious: FOJI is Japanese for forge. After starting out in a small unit, the work outgrew it, and FOJI Raceworks now runs from a larger workshop in Cornwall.
It is a two-man workshop: James, and William, his right-hand man. Every project stays in the same hands from first look to handback.

What drives us
We are petrol heads first, with a particular love for the MX-5, alongside Hondas, Evos and the BMWs of the 1970s through to the late 1990s. Those cars set the standard we hold our own work to.
We are known as Mazda MX-5 specialists, and the same work runs across JDM and BMW cars: motorsport preparation, fabrication, restoration, metalwork, and engine builds and conversions. That covers everything from a focused upgrade or repair to a ground-up build.

How we work
Whether it’s a single modification, a full engine build, or a complete nut-and-bolt restoration, every job is planned before it’s started. The work we rate most is the work you can’t see: invisible structural repairs, clean welding, and changes built around how the car is actually used.
At FOJI Raceworks, we believe in doing things properly. We build cars that are reliable, well-engineered, and built to last. Whether you’re looking to maintain, modify, restore, or completely transform your car, we work closely with you to deliver a result that fits your goals and your budget.
